Littleton Town Mayor Mason Hawfield and Morgan Skilton, a junior member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 308, show off some poppies and a town resolution recognizing May 26 as Poppy Day. Since shortly after World War I, poppies have been considered a tribute and memorial to military personnel who give their life in service to America. Poppies will be distributed by the Auxiliary, with all donations for the poppies going to veterans and their families.
