LITTLETON – The Eaton Ferry Road AARP was treated a special performance by the Germantown Strings of the Ridgeway Opry in Ridgeway, NC. The March 2007 meeting, held last Thursday, at the Littleton Community Center had a St. Patrick’s day theme. After the shared dish dinner the members listened to country and bluegrass music.
Germantown Strings is a six-member band led by Billy Jarrell. Frieda Bender Egerton was the MC of the show. A couple of banjo solos kept members feet stomping.
