Local voters turn out in large numbers |

It was obvious from the constant movement of people in out the doors of the Littleton Fire House and the Town Hall that this was going to be a busy election day. Halifax and Warren County Boards of election were prepared for larger than normal turnout. In the One stop voting saw more than the usual number of voters come out to take advantage of voting early, but not the numbers many other parts of the state reported. Halifax Count had 1,540 early voters. According to officials in Both counties took advantage of the new state wide reporting system. The results from the counties were sent to the states and the media had to go to the state web site to get the results. These are the candidates appearing on the ballot in Unopposed candidates are not on the ballot until the November general Election for the town commissioners to hold their monthly meeting because more voting booths than normal were brought in for the election.
